Garg: Nashville... with a tan

What's this? I actually submitted something? *gasp*

Not too long ago, I got my hands on the Gargoyles comic book sequel (Yes, there's a comic book sequel! It's call Clan Building, and you can find it on Amazon), and have had my love for the series rekindled.

At the end of the comic is the start of the Timedancer spin-off, which would follow Brooklyn as he travels through time at the whim of the Phoenix Gate. Though he's only gone for about 40 seconds to his clan, he's been bouncing around time for 40 years. During this time, he gets himself a mate, a son, a new Gargoyle beast, and an egg on the way.

The Gargoyle with him in this picture is his son Nashville. Now, for some reason, every time I hear the word "Nashville", I think of the song Lullaby, by Shawn Mullin. Specifically the part that says "Kinda like Nashville... with a tan".

Yeah, you can see where this train of thoughts led me. (For those unfamiliar with the comic, Nashville's normal colouring is a VERY pale blue, almost white.)

So here he's saying something along the lines of "Hey, dad! Now I look like you!", while Brooklyn is all "Buah?!". I originally wanted to include Katana (Brooklyn's mate), but she didn't fit on the page. She would have been face-palming in a "He gets this from YOU" sort of way.

Fail background is Fail. But I figured it might be good to show HOW a Gargoyle could possibly get a tan. As for why Xanatos Enterprises has a tanning salon... Well, why not?
