Suzaku no Avatar - Mitsukake

Sixth in my Suzaku no Avatar set.

I came up with the idea for this when I realized that there are a lot of similarities between the lead characters of Avatar: The Last Airbender, and the lead characters of Fushigi Yuugi. So, one thing led to another, and I ended up drawing the Avatar characters as their Fushigi Yuugi counterparts.

No background beyond the ground plane for these pictures, since I want to combine them all together once I'm done.

Sixth is Katara, the healer, as Mitsukake.

Despite the very simple pose, this is one of my favourites in the set, drawing wise. I'm not completely sure why, I just really like how it turned out.

I'm still a bit unsure about the water around her hands... I felt that she definitely needed some water, since it's HOW she heals, but at the same time, I find it looks a bit funny. That could just be because it's the very last thing I added, and so I'm used to looking at it without... *shrugs*
